Intro

Joy Organics is a Colorado-based company that manufactures and sells a wide range of CBD products. CBD oil is known for helping with everything from insomnia to pain to dry skin. Joy’s line of tinctures, lotions, and oils was made without any of the THC that has often tainted the image of CBD products as being “tied to marijuana”.

Goals

The CBD space is very, very crowded with little control over the quality of the ingredients or manufacturing. Joy’s goal was to reach potential customers with news and information of their products. In addition, the company wanted to use marketing and public relations to raise the profile of founder Joy Smith as an expert in the space.

Approach

INK pursued two different tracks in our PR strategies for Joy Organics. First, we wanted straight reviews and inclusion into roundup stories of the latest and most innovative CBD infused products.

All Joy Organics products are full-spectrum, THC-free, gluten-free and contain no pesticides or GMOs.
All have organically grown hemp, are made in the USA and Farm Bill-compliant.

Second, our marketing and public relations services aimed for more profile-type pieces that highlighted founder Joy Smith’s unique background (as a grandma and church minister) as well as her business acumen.

Results

In less than 6 months, INK’s marketing and public relations services secured profile pieces in Forbes and the Denver Business Journal. In addition, Joy was featured in a Q&A business leadership round-up piece in Authority Magazine. We pitched product reviews securing CBD Oil Gifts for Moms on Parents.com, 11 CBD Beauty Products You Must try in Hiplatina along with a Valentine Gift Guide inclusion in Mom Blog Society.
